Dynamic façade design method
The pavilion’s form has faced to the Southwest which is hot during the day. The double layer idea of architectural skin is implemented. The volume massing has been pushed back to create a layer of façade at the front. At the rear volume has also been pushed down to keep a human scale of a show flat height. At the right corner is revealed with a welcome entrance purpose. A transparent panel has been wrapped the corner. The internal double height space can be glanced from outside. Human curiosity leads to that space. The dynamic façade is the main concept to perceive a vibrant character to this building articulation and yet protect the heat. The vibe of Split, Twisted, Tilted with 2 layer of red & white has bought its alive.
